Bath Civil Service F.C. was formed in the 1950s and played in various leagues before entering a reserve team into the Bath & District Football League in 1974. The first team relinquished their senior status and joined the reserves in the Bath & District in 1978, playing in the 1st and 2nd Divisions between 1978 and 2000.

The Civil Service club competed in the Bath & District Saturday league for more than 25 years (either as Bath Civil Service, Bath C.S. or C.S. Filos) before joining the Revolutions Trowbridge & District league for the season 2004/05 and then re-joining the Bath & District league for the season 2005/06.

An adjustment to the club name to Civil Service Filos F.C. was made in the summer of 2000 as a result of the club securing sponsorship from the FILOS public house. Since the millenium the club (1st & 2nd teams) has enjoyed 3 championships, 5 promotions, won the Bath Chronicle Cup & the Taylor Kitchens cup, were runners-up in the 2005/06 Steve Fear Cup & this season's Chronicle Cup Final.
