We are always looking for new additions so all players old or new, young or old and of any standard are very welcome.

Bath Civil Service F.C. was formed in the 1950s and played in various leagues before entering a reserve team into the Bath & District Football League in 1974. The first team relinquished their senior status and joined the reserves in the Bath & District in 1978, playing in the 1st and 2nd Divisions between 1978 and 2000.
The Civil Service club competed in the Bath & District Saturday league for more than 25 years
(either as Bath Civil Service, Bath C.S. or C.S. Filos) before joining the Revolutions Trowbridge & District league for the season 2004/05 and
then re-joining the Bath & District league for the season 2005/06.
An adjustment to the club name to Civil Service Filos F.C. was made in the summer of 2000 as a result of the club securing
sponsorship from the FILOS public house. Since the millenium the club (1st & 2nd teams) has enjoyed 3 championships, 5 promotions, won
the Bath Chronicle Cup & the Taylor Kitchens cup, were runners-up in the 2005/06 Steve Fear Cup & this season's Chronicle Cup Final.

What's in a name? The club is often referred to as C.S. Filos. The C.S. stands for Civil Service. The club was originally made up of civil
servants and the team was known as Bath Civil Service or Bath C.S. This name was amended slightly in 2000 when a new
sponsorship was obtain from the FILOS public house although the C.S part of the name has and will continue to be maintained.
The Filos Public House is a lively sports bar located on the main London Road
going out of Bath & has generously supported the team since 2000.

Home Ground
Civil Service Filos play their home games at the Sulis Club, Claverton Down. The Sulis Club is an superb
facility owned by University of Bath. The club boasts 2 excellent football pitches, 2 rugby pitches,
3 cricket pitches, cricket practice nets, 3 tennis courts, a 5 a-side court, fully equiped gymnasium,
snooker, pool & table tennis tables, a bowling green, wet and dry changing areas, several function rooms and
2 public bars with cinema screen Sky TV.

Training & New Players
Training takes place every Wednesday night at the Sulis Club, Claverton Down. Training is under
floodlights during the winter and normally starts at 7pm. New players of any standard are always welcome
so if you are interested in playing, or even just training, just come to a training session or
contact one of the team direct - you'll be most welcome!
